booking,deposits &cancellations

Booking a tattoo with me follows a clear, simple process. This is how I book, how deposits work, and what happens if plans change.

01

Why I Use A Booking Policy

A tattoo stays with you. The time I spend on it matters just as much as the design.

I book one client at a time. That means I set the day up around your piece, from drawing to setup. When you understand how booking and deposits work, you can relax and focus on the art.

This page explains how I work so there are no surprises on the day of your tattoo.

02

How To Book A Tattoo With Me

I only take appointments through this website or by direct contact. No walk-ins.

Most bookings start in three steps:

  1. You send your idea.
  2. We have a short consultation.
  3. You pay a deposit and your date is confirmed.

I block real time on my calendar for every client. Once your deposit is in, that time is yours.

Step 1: Share Your Idea

Use the booking form or contact page to tell me:

  • The style you are thinking about, like fine line, realism or blackwork
  • Rough size in centimetres or inches
  • Placement on your body
  • Any reference images you like

Bring me a reference and I will tell you honestly what will work and what will not. I do not copy another artist’s exact design line for line. I use references as inspiration, then draw something that fits your body.

Step 2: Free Consultation

Before any tattoo, we have a free 10–15 minute consultation. This can be video or in person at 1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6 in Toronto.

In that consult I:

  • Go over your idea
  • Talk about placement and size
  • Explain how the style will heal on your skin
  • Give you a rough time estimate

There is no charge for this. The goal is to line up on the direction before either of us commits to a full session.

Step 3: Pay Your Deposit

If you decide to go ahead, you leave a deposit to hold the date. Once that is paid, I start drawing and lock the time in for you.

You get a confirmation with the date, time and what to bring. From there, we are set for your session unless you need to move it with notice.

Deposits: How They Work

Deposits protect the time I spend preparing your tattoo.

They tell me you are serious about the session and cover drawing and setup even if something changes later.

Deposit Amounts

Deposit amounts are based on how much time I am blocking:

  • Small piece: $100 deposit
  • Medium piece: $200 deposit
  • Full day / large-scale work: $400 deposit

Every dollar goes toward the final price of your tattoo.

Applied To Your Final Price

On the day of your tattoo, your deposit is applied to what you owe.

For example, if your tattoo costs $600 and you paid a $200 deposit, you pay the remaining $400 at the appointment.

There is no HST added on top.

Refundable Deposits

Deposits are refundable when you give enough notice or when I cancel for any reason.

If you cancel or move your appointment with at least 72 hours’ notice, your options are:

  • Move the deposit to a new date
  • Ask for a refund of the deposit

If I ever have to cancel on you, your deposit is always offered back or moved, your choice.

04

Minimum Charge & Pricing

I focus on detailed fine line, realism and blackwork. Even a small piece takes planning, setup and careful work.

Because of that, there is a minimum charge of $200 for any tattoo.

This minimum covers:

  • Custom design time
  • Setup and breakdown
  • Single-use needles and supplies
  • My time in the chair with you

I do not publish an hourly rate or quote prices without seeing the idea. In your consultation I give you a clear sense of how big the piece is and how much time it is likely to take.

If price is your main question, you can still start with the consultation. We can talk openly about what fits your budget and your idea.

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Life happens. I understand that plans can change.

All I ask is clear notice so I can offer that time to someone else waiting for a spot.

Rescheduling Your Appointment

You can move your appointment once or more with at least 72 hours’ notice.

When you reschedule in time:

  • Your deposit moves with you
  • There is no extra fee
  • We pick a new date that works for both of us

Less than 72 hours makes it hard to fill the spot. That is when the late policy below kicks in.

Late Cancellations & No-Shows

If you cancel with less than 72 hours before your appointment, or you do not show up on the day, your deposit is kept.

There is no extra charge and I do not keep a card on file. You simply lose the deposit that was holding that time.

To book again after a late cancel or no-show, a new deposit is needed.

This keeps my calendar honest for everyone, especially for larger pieces that take a full day.

06

What I Do (And What I Don’t)

Being clear about what I offer saves both of us time.

Styles I Focus On

Most people come to me for:

  • Fine line tattoos
  • Realism tattoos
  • Dark and blackwork tattoos
  • Modern and contemporary styles
  • Large-scale pieces, sleeves and multi-session work
  • Custom designs built around your idea

I enjoy clients who bring a concept and are open to letting me shape the composition so it sits right on the body.

Work I Do Not Take On

I do not do colour tattoos.

If you are not sure whether your idea fits my style, you can still reach out. I would rather be honest up front than take on something that will not heal or age the way you expect.

07

Age, ID & Who I Can Tattoo

By law and by my own policy, I only tattoo adults.

To book with me you must:

  • Be 18 or older
  • Bring valid government photo ID to your appointment

I do not tattoo anyone under 18, even with a parent or guardian present. Your appointment is for you only, so you can stay focused and I can concentrate fully on the work.

08

On The Day Of Your Tattoo

Knowing what to expect makes the appointment smoother.

When you arrive at 1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6 in Toronto:

  • We go over the design together
  • I place the stencil and we adjust placement until it feels right
  • You sign the consent form and show your ID
  • We start when you are ready

The room is quiet and calm. I work at a steady pace so lines stay clean and detail stays sharp.

Breaks are always okay. If you need water or a stretch, just say so.

09

Touch-Ups On My Work

Sometimes a healed tattoo needs a small touch-up, especially fine line work.

I offer free touch-ups within one month on tattoos I have done myself.

If you notice a small light spot or line after it heals, send me a clear photo and I will book a short touch-up session. There is no extra cost for that visit.

Touch-ups after that first month may be charged as a small piece, depending on what is needed.

10

Aftercare & Healing

Good healing is half the result.

At the end of your appointment, I:

  • Wrap the tattoo
  • Go over aftercare step by step
  • Answer any questions you have

You leave with written aftercare instructions so you do not have to remember everything we talked about.

If anything looks off during healing, contact me or talk to a doctor. A tattoo artist cannot diagnose or treat medical issues, but I can tell you if what you are seeing looks normal for a healing tattoo.

11

Contact & Booking From Outside Toronto

Most of my clients are in Toronto, including Liberty Village, King West, Queen West and the west end. I also see people who drive in from across the GTA.

If you are coming from places like Mississauga, Vaughan or Hamilton, it is even more important to stick to the timing and notice windows on this page.

If weather or travel issues come up, contact me as soon as you know there is a problem. We can talk through options rather than leaving the chair empty.

12

Why This Policy Exists

This exists to protect your time, my time and the work we do together.

Clear rules mean:

  • You know exactly what happens with your deposit
  • I can spend more time drawing and less time chasing messages
  • The calendar stays fair for everyone waiting for an appointment

If anything on this page is not clear, ask. I would rather explain it now than have you wondering later.

When you are ready, you can book a consultation and start planning your tattoo.
