How close I actually am to Queen West

The studio I work out of is at 1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6, in Toronto’s west end.

If you are near Trinity Bellwoods, Ossington, or Bathurst, it is a quick drive or rideshare straight up through the west end to Davenport. You stay in the city the whole way.

You are not leaving the Queen West vibe behind. You are just getting tattooed somewhere a little quieter.

02

What you are probably looking for in a Queen West tattoo

Most Queen West tattoos I see fall into three groups.

You want a small fine line piece that actually heals clean. You want realism with enough detail to hold up over time. You want darker, bold blackwork that still fits your body.

You might have a folder of references. You might only have a feeling and a rough idea. Either way, you know you are not picking flash off a wall.

My work sits where fine line, realism and blackwork meet. I focus on:

  • Fine line realism: single-needle style detail that still has structure
  • Black and grey only: no colour work, ever
  • Larger custom compositions that follow your muscle lines

If you want a queen west tattoo that feels like art you chose and connect with, that is the space I work in.

Why travel off Queen West for a tattoo

There are plenty of tattoo shops on Queen West. The reason to come to me is not distance. It is focus.

I turned down colour pieces so I can stay very sharp in one lane: black and grey fine line and realism.

I have been tattooing for 6 years, learned by watching and working beside strong artists at SJ Tattoo Studio, and I book one client at a time so I can sit with your piece properly from stencil to final wipe.

That focus is what you are coming for.

What it feels like to get tattooed with me

The session starts with a free 10–15 minute consult, video or in person. You show me your ideas, placement, and any references. I tell you honestly what will work and what will not.

On the day, it is just you and me in the room. No walk-ins. No line at the front. I print the stencil, we check placement standing and sitting, then I work at a steady, calm pace.

You will feel the needle, but there is no rush and no pressure to “sit through it” for my schedule. We can take breaks, look at the piece as it builds, and adjust within the design we set.

After, I wrap the tattoo and go over aftercare in simple steps. You leave with my contact if you want to send a quick heal-check photo later.

How I work with your ideas

If you are coming from Queen West, you likely have a strong sense of style already. I respect that.

Bring me:

  • Photos, drawings or tattoos you like
  • A note about what the piece means to you
  • A clear idea of placement and rough size

I will not copy someone else’s tattoo line for line. Instead, I use your references to understand mood, texture, and subject. Then I sketch something that fits your body and my style.

If I think your idea is better as a larger piece, or needs more black to hold up, I say that up front. I would rather build one strong tattoo than give you something that fades into nothing because it was too small or light.

Pricing, deposits and policies

I keep pricing simple and transparent, so you do not have to DM me from Queen West just to ask “how much”.

  • Minimum charge is $200
  • Deposits are $100 for small pieces, $200 for medium, $400 for a full day
  • Deposits go toward the final price and are refundable
  • No HST on top

If you need to move your appointment, give me 72 hours’ notice. Late cancellation or no-show means I keep the deposit and a new one books a new day. I do not keep a card on file or charge anything extra.

Touch-ups on my own work are free within one month, if they are needed.

Queen West tattoo vs leaving the strip

Staying on Queen West might feel easier. You can walk to a shop, flip through portfolios, and pick whoever is free.

If you are still reading, you are probably not looking for whoever is free.

You are choosing an artist you connect with. The Davenport address is not as visible as a big window on the strip, but that works in your favour. It lets me run longer, more focused sessions without distraction.

If you want a queen west tattoo that feels considered, it is worth the short trip north.
