Clocks and Colours

A night of live tattooing in their room, with their guests. One chair, one client at a time, the same way I work at the studio.

What a live station adds

A live tattoo station gives guests something they keep. Guests who sit down leave with a tattoo from your night.

I work one person at a time at a single station.

What I offer at events

  • Clubs and bars
  • Conferences
  • Small pop-ups
  • Weddings

Brand activations are covered on the brand and corporate partnerships page.

I bring my own flash sheets to events, so there is always a set of finished designs on the table for guests to choose from. I tattoo flash by appointment in my chair in Toronto as well, whenever someone wants a piece straight off a sheet.

I worked a flash day for Oz fest with the jewellery brand Clocks and Colours. They asked for designs drawn to their brand, and I tattooed for an eight-hour day.

My style and what I do

Fine line traditional is my main style choice. Realism and blackwork sit behind it, and all of my work is black and grey.

At events I keep designs readable at small scale, with clean line weight and strong shapes.

Bring me ideas or a rough direction. If you hand me a reference, I will not copy it line for line. I use it as a starting point and build something that suits the person wearing it.

How the booking works

Events are booked at a day rate. Over an eight-hour day I can tattoo 20 to 30 people. Anything outside Toronto carries a travel fee on top.

I need two weeks' notice as a minimum. A $500 deposit holds the date.

I bring an assistant with me, so the line keeps moving while I tattoo. I carry insurance for off-site work, and my public health inspection covers tattooing at events.

What I need from the venue:

  • Power at the station
  • A table
  • Lighting I can work under
  • Enough space for me, the guest and the person waiting
  • Somewhere to dispose of sharps safely

How a live tattoo station runs

The setup is one table with the machine and the inks within reach, plus a chair for the guest.

Guests come by to look through the flash and ask questions. I talk through placement and size with each person before I start on them. Everyone getting tattooed has to be 18 or over with government photo ID.

People can watch while I work. At the end of the night I break the station down.

What guests can expect

Some guests will be getting a first tattoo.

I prep the skin and apply the stencil. If someone needs a minute to think, they get it.

Each person walks away with a finished tattoo from one visit to the station, and anyone with questions later can email me.

Safety and standards

I am bloodborne pathogens certified. Needles are single-use and tubes are disposable.

I have been tattooing for six years in Toronto.

What I will ask you

The details change what is realistic on the day.

On the call I will ask about:

  • Date, hours and location
  • Rough guest count
  • Whether tattooing is central to the event or running alongside it
  • Any venue restrictions or approvals you already have in place

With those answers I can tell you how the day would be structured and which designs I would bring.

Events and chair sessions

When someone at an event wants something larger or more personal, I book them into my chair at 1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6, Toronto, where there is time for the piece.

How to start

Event enquiries come to me by email at mitchbold.ink@gmail.com.

Send me the date and the venue, with a line or two about what you have in mind. I will come back with a few times for a short call so we can work out whether it is a fit.

If you are unsure whether your event fits, tell me what you are planning. I will be straight with you if the timeline is too tight or if tattoos are the wrong call for the room.
