terms

These Terms of Service explain how I work, what you can expect from me, and what I expect from you when you book a tattoo with Mitch Bold Tattoos.

If you have any questions about anything here, email me at mitchbold.ink@gmail.com before you book.

1. About Mitch Bold Tattoos

Mitch Bold Tattoos is the personal brand of Mitch, a tattoo artist working by appointment at:

1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6 Toronto, ON M6N 4X3 Phone: (905) 467-0951

I work as an individual artist. I do not own or operate the premises at this address. I rent space and see clients here by appointment only.

When these Terms say “I”, “me” or “my”, they mean Mitch. When they say “you”, they mean you as the client.

02

2. Using this website

This website, mitchboldtattoos.com, is here so you can:

  • Learn about my work and style
  • Read about my booking process and policies
  • Send an enquiry or request a booking

You agree not to use this site for anything illegal or harmful, including trying to break security, spam forms, copy content for commercial use, or misrepresent who you are.

I do my best to keep the site accurate, secure and online. I cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. For medical questions, always speak with a doctor or qualified health professional.

03

3. Online enquiries and booking

All tattoos are by appointment only. I do not take walk-ins.

You can start the process by:

  • Filling out the booking form on the site, or
  • Emailing me at mitchbold.ink@gmail.com, or
  • Reaching out on Instagram at @mitchboldtattoos

Sending an enquiry does not mean your appointment is booked. A booking is only confirmed when:

  1. I have reviewed your idea
  2. We have agreed on a date and general scope
  3. Your deposit has been received

I can decline a project if it does not match my style, if I believe the placement or design will not heal well, or if I do not feel I am the right artist for the piece.

04

4. Consultations

Before I book a tattoo, I offer a free 10–15 minute consultation, either:

  • By video, or
  • In person at 1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6

The consultation is for:

  • Talking through your idea and references
  • Looking at placement and size
  • Answering your questions about the process and healing

A consultation does not guarantee a booking. I may decide that your idea is not a good match for my work, or you may decide not to move forward. There is no obligation for either of us.

05

5. Deposits and minimum charge

To hold an appointment time, I take a deposit. Deposits are:

  • $100 for small pieces
  • $200 for medium pieces
  • $400 for full days

All deposits:

  • Are applied to your final price on the day of your appointment
  • Are refundable, except where a late cancellation or no-show policy applies (see Section 7)
  • Are linked to a specific project

There is a minimum charge of $200 for any tattoo appointment.

I do not publish my hourly rate or lifetime tattoo count. If you have questions about pricing beyond the minimums and deposits listed here, ask me during your consultation.

No HST is charged on top of my pricing.

06

6. Payments

On the day of your appointment:

  • Your deposit is credited toward the final cost
  • The remaining balance is due at the end of the session

Payment methods accepted will be listed on the booking or confirmation page, or explained during consultation.

Prices may change over time. If my rates change after you have already booked and paid a deposit, I honour the rate discussed at the time of booking for that session.

07

7. Rescheduling, cancellations and no-shows

Life happens. I respect your time and I ask the same in return.

Rescheduling

  • You can reschedule your appointment if you give me at least 72 hours’ notice
  • With 72 hours’ notice or more, your existing deposit moves to the new date

Cancellations and late changes

If you:

  • Cancel less than 72 hours before your appointment, or
  • Do not show up for your appointment, or
  • Arrive so late that I cannot complete the agreed work

Then:

  • Your deposit is kept, and
  • A new deposit is required to book another date

There is no card on file and no further charge beyond the kept deposit.

If I need to cancel or reschedule for any reason, I will:

  • Give you as much notice as I reasonably can
  • Move your deposit to a new date, or
  • Refund your deposit if we cannot find a new time that works
08

8. ID and eligibility

To get tattooed by me, you must:

  • Be 18 or older. There are no exceptions, even with a parent or guardian present
  • Bring valid government-issued photo ID

I will not tattoo you if:

  • You are under 18
  • You do not bring valid ID
  • You appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • You have a condition or situation that, in my judgment, makes tattooing unsafe that day

In those cases, your appointment may be treated as a late cancellation and your deposit may be kept. If you have any health concerns related to tattooing, speak with a doctor first.

09

9. Artistic style and design

People come to me for:

  • Fine line tattoos
  • Realism tattoos
  • Dark and blackwork
  • Modern / contemporary pieces
  • Custom designs
  • Large-scale work and sleeves

I do not offer colour tattoos.

You are welcome to bring references. During consultation, I will explain how I plan to approach your idea: composition, size, and placement.

I do not copy another artist’s design line for line. I create original work, using your references as inspiration.

Before I start tattooing, you will see the design or stencil and we will confirm placement together. Small adjustments can usually be made on the day. Large changes or new ideas may mean rescheduling and a new booking.

10

10. Health, safety and aftercare

I hold:

  • Bloodborne pathogens certification, and
  • A public health inspection pass

I take hygiene seriously and work to current local standards. I set up a clean workstation for every client, with single-use needles and proper barrier protection.

I will give you clear aftercare instructions at the end of your session. It is your responsibility to follow them as closely as you can.

I do not provide medical care or advice. If you have any concerns about how your tattoo is healing, such as signs of infection or an allergic reaction, contact a doctor or health professional right away. You can also reach out to me so I know what is going on, but I cannot diagnose or treat any condition.

11

11. Touch-ups

I offer free touch-ups on my own work within one month of your original appointment date.

Touch-ups:

  • Apply only to tattoos I have done
  • Are for normal healing issues like small light spots or gaps
  • Are booked as short appointments

After one month, or for changes outside normal healing (for example, you want to change the design or size), the work is treated as a new paid session.

12

12. Photography and portfolio use

Tattooing is my craft and my portfolio is how people find me.

During or after your session, I may take photos or short videos of:

  • The tattoo
  • The tattoo on your body, with as much or as little of you showing as you are comfortable with

Before I share any image where your face or other identifying features are visible, I will ask for your permission. If you agree, I may use the images on:

  • This website
  • My Instagram @mitchboldtattoos
  • Other online or print portfolio platforms

If you do not want your photos shared, tell me. Saying no will not affect your appointment or how I treat you.

13

13. Intellectual property

All artwork I design or tattoo, including sketches and digital files, stays my intellectual property.

You can:

  • Wear the tattoo on your body
  • Photograph it for your personal use
  • Share those photos on social media and tag me if you like

You cannot:

  • Reproduce the design for commercial use
  • Use the artwork in logos, branding, merch or other products
  • Ask another artist to copy the design

If you are interested in using a design beyond your tattoo, contact me and we can talk about it.

14

14. No guarantees

Tattooing is done on living skin. Many factors affect how a tattoo heals, such as:

  • Your skin type
  • Placement on the body
  • How you care for it after the appointment

I cannot guarantee a specific outcome or how long a tattoo will look a certain way.

I will always work carefully, explain my plan, and give you clear aftercare instructions. Once you leave my chair, you are responsible for following that guidance and caring for the piece.

15

15. Third-party studios and links

I work inside a studio at 1800 Davenport Rd, Unit 6, but I do not own or operate that business. Its policies, staff and branding are separate from mine.

This site may link to:

  • The studio location on maps
  • My Instagram or booking tools
  • Other external sites

I am not responsible for the content or policies of any third-party site or business.

16

16. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When I change them, I will update the “Last updated” date at the bottom of this page.

The version in place when you book will apply to your appointment. If I make a significant change that affects existing bookings, I will do my best to let you know by email or message.
